Friday, June 25, 2010 22:52EPA Plans “Fracking” Public Meetings. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is hosting three public information meetings in Binghamton, NY on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010 on a proposed study of the relationship between hydraulic fracturing and its potential impacts on drinking water. EPA will solicit public comments on the draft study plan.
The three meetings will be held at the Anderson Performing Arts Center at Binghamton University at 8am to 12pm, 1pm to 5pm and 6pm to 10pm. Stakeholders are requested to pre-register for the meetings at least 72 hours before each meeting.
